Greetings from Mariazell, I do hope that you are all so far enjoying the blessings of the new year. Over here in Maluti all is well, the last couple of days have been very busy a lot of activities traffic in and out of Mariazell as parents brought their Children back to school, while my office was flooded with people some coming to pay for their children's boarding fees, while others were looking for a place to accommodate their Children in the last minute. I did not have much time to check emails. Twice within a week I had to sleep hungry because I came late from the office only to find that the kitchen was closed, and I could go at night calling the cooks to open the kitchen for me to have a bite. Nevertheless I survived and I am able to write this email. I can even feel that I slept hungry for two days: All in the mind. Well, on 14th if you can recall my last email, when I almost donated me fax machine to the magistrate court, I mentioned to you that the next court appearance for the suspected killers and robbers of Fr. Ernest will be on 14th Jan. On 14th as sheduled I went to Maluti and on arrival the court was already fully packed with lots of people, I could not even find a place to sit, I had to scruble for a place to stand and luckily the police man who knows me managed to secure a seat somewhere and I was lucky to sit. Well, there was not much that took place, the prosecute asked for postponement to 22nd of Jan. The reason being that on 13th of Jan, Mr Jacob Matabane of the suspects and the former boarding Master here at Mariazell had appealed against his bail denial at Highcourt in Pietermaritzburg and the appeal also was turned down. This in a way delayed the high court submission of the charge sheats as they will appear on 1st of Feb at the high court. On Friday the investigating officers came to here at Mariazell with the shoes of our late Fr.Earnest for identification. They got the shoes from one of the suspects. The lady who was working for Fr, and also the sisters identified the shoes as those belonging to our late Fr. The shoes will be used at the high court as exhibits. We all hope that all will be okay on Friday and on 1st of Feb, the trial begins and hope it wont take eternity. Wishing you a blessed week. |
